A man with a knife went on a massacre in central London

One of the victims, a 58-year-old man, died at the scene and a 27-year-old man later died in hospital. Another victim, a 30-year-old man, is in a medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries, Reuters reported.

Law enforcers have detained another man, also 30, on suspicion of involvement in the attack. He is in a hospital in critical condition.

The attacks took place at a premises on a narrow street in the Southwark neighborhood near Tower Bridge, a popular tourist spot where violent crime is rare.

“Our investigation is in its early stages and we are working hard to establish the full circumstances of this shocking incident,” said Police Chief Emma Bond.

Preliminary reports suggest the incident is not terrorist related.
