Postal bank to be established in Ukraine

“Today the Government by its decision transfers the shares of the First Investment Bank, previously owned by Russian oligarchs, to the Ministry of Infrastructure with subsequent transfer to Ukrposhta. Thus we create a postal bank”, - said Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.

“Ukrposhta” has branches in all corners of the country, so this will open new opportunities for Ukrainians who do not use digital tools.

“Receiving assistance, social benefits, ordering goods and medicines will now be in walking distance. In addition, with this decision the state will save up to UAH 5 billion over the next 3-4 years. These funds will be used to finance priority budget items,” he said.
