CIA Director John Ratcliffe declassified a 2016 intelligence report on the reaction of Ukrainian officials to Biden's visit to Kyiv in 2015.

“Today, I declassified CIA intelligence on Ukraine, recognizing that it is in the public interest,” Ratcliffe wrote.

The declassified report mentioned confusion and disappointment among President Poroshenko's administration during the US Vice President's visit on December 7-8, 2015.

“They noted that the US Vice President had come to Kyiv to deliver general public speeches, rather than to discuss substantive issues with Poroshenko or other Ukrainian government officials,” the CIA report said.

Ukrainian officials reflected on the intense media attention in the US to the US Vice President's family's alleged ties to corrupt business practices in Ukraine and noted the US's double standards regarding corruption.
