US President Donald Trump, commenting on Ukraine's possible disappointment over the absence from talks between the US and Russian delegations in Saudi Arabia, said he was disappointed because of the long duration of the war.
Trump was asked what he thought Ukraine, which has been at war against Russia for three years, might feel betrayed or disappointed by its absence from the talks.
“I'm the one who's disappointed that there's been a war going on for three years. It wouldn't have happened if I was president. They are disappointed that they didn't get a seat at the table but they had three years,” he said.
He said it could have been solved very easily and even a mediocre negotiator could have solved it.
