Moldova wants to annex part of Odessa region

"We are crippled by borders drawn to the ruler. We were deprived of access to the sea through Budjak, and without access to the sea, Moldova is like a lion on a leash. I know how to return Budjak today, and it is more urgent than ever," she said.

She said Moldova could demand a border revision because there is not a single international treaty ratified by Moldova where it recognizes the loss of Budjak, European Pravda reported.

"We don't want a small submissive Moldova anymore - we want a big Moldova. We need to return everything that was stolen from us - the name, history, language, access to the sea," Fortune said.
