North Korean leader names most hostile state

Kim Jong Un designated South Korea as the most hostile state during the first session of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly, Yonhap reports.

Kim stated that South Korea would pay the price for any provocation if Seoul provoked Pyongyang.

North Korea discussed the issue of revising its constitution.

Kim stated that his country’s status as a nuclear-armed state will never change, and promised to make efforts to combat hostile forces targeting Pyongyang.

Kim accused the U.S. of terrorism and invasions in many parts of the world.

“The dignity, interests, and ultimate victory of the country can only be guaranteed by the most powerful force. Whether the enemies choose confrontation or peaceful coexistence is their choice, and we are ready to respond to any challenge,” he said.

The North Korean leader pledged to further develop North Korea’s defensive nuclear deterrent and maintain the operational and precise readiness of its nuclear forces to respond to strategic threats to national and regional security.
