Murder
Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of militants linked to Hezbollah who were planning to assassinate the country’s top officials.
The group planning the attacks included five Kuwaiti citizens and one other individual, according to Bloomberg.
The terrorist network included 14 additional individuals who are currently abroad. Among them are two Iranian citizens, two Lebanese nationals, and five individuals who were recently stripped of their Kuwaiti citizenship.
The detainees admitted to undergoing extensive military training abroad. They confessed to espionage and their willingness to carry out missions directed against Kuwait’s national interests.
The suspects were handed over to the public prosecutor’s office.
