US President Donald Trump said that conversations with Russian dictator and President Vladimir Zelensky were two very good conversations.
Trump said the conversation with Putin went well, Breitbart News reported.
"Then I spoke with President Zelensky and explained what happened yesterday and my goal is to bring these two countries together. Then we will negotiate a ceasefire and eventually stop losing 2,000 people a week", he said.
Trump claims that 2,000 people a week or more are being killed in this war and therefore he wants to stop it.
He said he had two very good phone conversations and expressed confidence that an agreement will be reached so we can stop the bloodshed that is going on there.
"I also want to stop the huge payments we have to make. I also want Europe to pay as much as we do, because they couldn't do it under Biden," Trump added.
