Trump thinks Zelensky wants a ceasefire

"I said: the Ukrainians are ready for a ceasefire. They are ready for peace talks," he said.

Asked whether Ukraine was doing enough to achieve this, Trump said he needed time to draw conclusions, Interfax-Ukraine reported.

"I'd rather tell you in about two weeks because I can't say yes or no. I think Zelensky is a strong guy. And he's not an easy guy to deal with. But I think he wants to stop. This is a very bad thing that's going on there. I think he wants to stop. But I might have a better answer to that question in two or four weeks. I hope the answer will be that he wants to address it," he said.
