Ukraine may receive another Patriot in a few months

Germany has offered to buy U.S. Patriot SAMs and deliver them to Ukraine, which has come under some of the heaviest Russian attacks in the war in recent weeks, Reuters reported.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said talks would continue at the working level to finalize details, including the number of launchers and missiles that could be included in the agreement.

If the agreement is finalized, the first Patriot unit could be shipped to Ukraine within a few months, he said.

Germany has given Ukraine three Patriot units of its own, leaving it with nine systems - far fewer than the 36 batteries it had at the height of the Cold War.
