The US has restricted the transfer of intelligence to Ukraine.
US President Donald Trump's halting of US military aid to Kiev has raised fears of a significant weakening of Ukraine on the battlefield, the Daily Mail reported.
All UK intelligence and military agencies have received an order that explicitly forbids the transfer of intelligence data obtained in the US to Ukraine. This data is known as “Rel UKR,” which is an acronym for “Releasable to Ukraine.”
Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion 3 years ago, the UK and other Western security partners such as Australia and New Zealand have shared such intelligence with Ukraine. Now Washington has allegedly ordered this to stop until further notice.
The decision affects Britain's General Directorate of Intelligence (GCHQ), spy agencies and intelligence units of the Ministry of Defense.
