US Congress drafts bill to support Ukraine

The project from the Democrats in the House of Representatives is introduced by Greg Meeks, who sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. It contains a proposal for funding for military support and rebuilding Ukraine, as well as sanctions against Russian Federation, Reuters reported.

Congressional aides involved in drafting the document said the goal is to influence negotiations on any Ukraine-related legislation to be passed by Congress. In particular, it is hoped that parts of this draft will be included in some future bill on Ukraine if the current document has no chance of passage.
