US doesn't believe in quick end to war in Ukraine

He said that the US goal now is to help find a compromise position between Russian Federation and Ukraine to end the war, BBC reported.

“Now that each side knows the other's peace terms, it's up to the Russians and Ukrainians. It is up to them to reach an agreement and end this brutal, violent conflict,” Vance said.

He believes the war will not end anytime soon.

“It's not going anywhere. It's not going to end anytime soon,” he added.

Vance defended Trump's approach toward Ukraine.

“Yes, of course Ukrainians are enraged that they were attacked. But are we going to continue to lose thousands and thousands of soldiers over a few miles of territory here or there?”, Vance said.
