US sanctions against Russia have been prepared, Congress and the White House are ready to approve them.
"Last weekend I spoke with Senator Lindsey Graham. As far as I understand, the sanctions are ready. The bill is called the Russian Sanctions Act 2025 (Russian Sanctions Act 2025). And I think Graham has already prepared them and is ready to implement them," said Keith Kellogg, the US President's special envoy for Ukraine and Russia.
He called the sanctions quite onerous, Fox News reported.
"For example, a 500% customs rate on imports into the United States. There is unanimity in Congress and in the White House on this issue. Russia is an oil power. It derives most of its revenue from the petrochemical industry. It is this industry that these sanctions are aimed at," he said.
