Zaluzhny prepares for elections

One source familiar with the list of potential MPs said it included several high-ranking military officials who had been approached about possible membership in parliament if Zaluzhny became President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's successor, Intelligence Online reports.

Discussions about who could succeed Zelensky have been going on for several years, although some observers argue that these narratives are pro-Russian disinformation aimed at dividing the country's political front.

Zaluzhny has remained silent about any future political plans, and his team strictly controls his public appearances in London.

In addition to Zaluzhny, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov, may also have ambitions in the upcoming presidential election. His goals are allegedly being quietly promoted by the non-governmental organization “State Protection.”
