Zelensky does not want to kill Putin

“You know, in their system, I'm not sure that another person wouldn't become just like Putin. Just like Putin. That's not the point,” he said.

Zelensky spoke about the numerous attempts on his life, most of which were prevented by the special services.

“I don't know how many times they tried to kill me. The security services told me about some of the cases. I understand that in my country, during this difficult period, it could push Ukraine into chaos,” he said.

He explained that in Ukraine's system of government, the president acts as an institution that strengthens the state. Therefore, the assassination of the head of state in our country could have completely different consequences.

"The reaction may be different, and the Russians, unfortunately, underestimate the reaction of Ukrainians. Because we, as I have always said, are emotionally different people. And after emotions and attitudes toward humanity, values always follow. That is why we can understand each other. We can talk to each other. We can fight, as you can see, but with different values," he said.
