Sweden ready to send fighter jets to Ukraine

“Significant progress was made in Paris when we, the members of the Coalition of the Determined, Ukraine and the United States, met to discuss peace in Ukraine. When a peace agreement is reached in Ukraine, Sweden is ready to contribute to security guarantees for Ukraine and the rest of Europe,” he wrote.

This involves the transfer of Gripen fighter jets for air surveillance over Ukraine, the provision of naval resources for demining the Black Sea, and further training for Ukrainian officers.

The implementation of these plans is only possible if certain conditions are met. These include the achievement of a peace agreement, the establishment of clear rules for the use of multinational forces, and the official approval of these decisions by the Swedish parliament.

“Sweden is ready to contribute to peace in Europe,” he said.
