Ten people died in a fire in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The victims were residents of the nursing home. Their bodies will be transferred to the Memorial Center for identification and autopsy, Radio Slobodna Evropa reports.

Another 20 people are receiving medical care at the University Clinical Center in Tuzla.

An investigative team is working at the scene.

“Under favorable conditions, an on-site investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the fire and all other facts relevant to the investigation,” the Interior Ministry said in a statement.

The fire broke out in the evening on the top floor of the nursing home.

The head of the Tuzla region, Irfan Halilagić, said that a solution is currently being sought for the temporary accommodation of the residents of the home.

A large number of firefighters were involved in extinguishing the fire, and the police and emergency services are also working at the scene.
