The US president's special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, said that the signing of the fossilization agreement is necessary for there to be movement forward in relations with the United States.
Kellogg was asked what Ukraine must do for U.S. military aid to resume. He responded by saying that President Trump has made it clear that this is not the end, it's a pause, European Pravda reported.
“Look, my experience with Trump is this. It's if you all got a contract. When you sign a contract for a car, for a house. Before you move on, you have a signed contract. My opinion and my personal belief is that you don't move forward until you have a signed document, period,” Kellogg said.
When told of Zielenski's recent repeated offers to sign the agreement, Kellogg responded, “There's a difference between offering and doing. Sign the document.”
Kellogg was asked if the U.S. would resume aid if Ukraine signed the agreement.
“That's up to the president of the United States. I'm not the president. I didn't get a single electoral college vote. It's up to the president. I would never, ever speak for the president. It would be his decision,” Kellogg said.
