US does not question Navalny's poisoning

Secretary of State Marco Rubio called the findings of five European countries, which said Navalny almost certainly died as a result of poisoning, “alarming,” Reuters reports.

"Of course, we are aware of this statement. It is an alarming report. We are aware of the Navalny case, and of course we have no reason to question it," he said.

Rubio was asked why the US did not join the statement.

"These countries came to this conclusion. They coordinated it (the investigation)... That doesn't mean we disagree with the result. It just wasn't our job. Sometimes countries come out with certain things, do their own work based on the data they've collected," the US Secretary of State commented.
