'Dogfight': India and Pakistan have staged a massive air battle

125 Pakistani and Indian fighter jets did not leave their airspace. The two sides exchanged missile strikes and the battle lasted for more than an hour. The missile strikes were sometimes carried out at distances of more than 160 kilometers.

At times, the Indian Air Force had to launch multiple raids on targets.

A CNN interlocutor described the battle between Pakistani and Indian fighter jets as a “dogfight.” Pakistani officials said five Indian planes were shot down as a result.

Pakistan said it was one of the largest and longest fights in recent aviation history.
