For the first time in 34 years, the leaders of Israel and Lebanon will hold talks

“We are trying to get a little breathing room between Israel and Lebanon. The two leaders haven’t spoken in a very long time—34 years, in fact. This will happen tomorrow,” he wrote.

Lebanon and the U.S. have asked Israel to pause its strikes on Hezbollah until direct talks between Israel and Lebanon begin.
