France is offering Ukraine intelligence after the US said it was suspending intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
“We have intelligence resources that we use to help the Ukrainians,” French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said.
“This has been suspended since yesterday,” he added, referring to the U.S. intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
“I think it is more difficult for our British friends who are in the intelligence community with the United States,” Lecornu said.
Lecornu said France's stockpile of nuclear weapons, developed at the start of the Cold War and designed to be independent of then-dominant powers Washington and Moscow, was sufficient, Reuters reported.
