The United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Japan have declared their readiness to contribute to efforts to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

The leaders of these countries strongly condemned Iran’s attacks on civilian facilities and commercial vessels, emphasizing the need for an immediate cessation of these actions.

"In accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2817, we emphasize that such interference with international shipping and disruption of global energy supply chains pose a threat to international peace and security. In this regard, we call for an immediate and comprehensive moratorium on attacks on civilian infrastructure, including oil and gas facilities," the leaders stated in a joint declaration.

They expressed their readiness to stabilize energy markets, in particular by cooperating with producer countries to increase production.
