A representative of the German Ministry of Defense said that he knew nothing about whether Patriot missile components had already been sent to Ukraine.
“I cannot confirm that anything is currently on its way,” he said.
On July 15, US President Donald Trump said that the delivery of Patriot missiles from Germany to Ukraine had already begun, DW reports.
“They are coming from Germany, and then Germany is replacing them. And in all cases, the US receives full payment,” Trump said.
A representative of the German Ministry of Defense said that on July 21, a meeting of the participants of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine (the so-called “Ramstein format”) will be held to discuss options for accelerating the delivery of Patriot systems to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
