Hungary wants to host a summit on peace in Ukraine

“As far as Budapest is concerned, as I understand from my American and Russian colleagues, they are trying to prepare a summit that will lead to a result that could be concluded with an agreement capable of restoring peace in Central Europe,” said Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.

He added that the venue for such a summit is the only thing that is certain, according to European Truth.

“Therefore, we are ready to host the summit as soon as the participants are ready,” he stressed.

Szijjártó added that the US president remains fully committed to promoting his peace efforts, and the Hungarians support his plans.

He does not know the details of the peace plan being prepared in Washington.

“I don't know the exact 28, or however many points there are. I have no idea about that. But I know that the Americans are continuing to work to bring peace back to central Europe,” he concluded.
