The Israel Defense Forces reported that rockets were fired from Lebanese territory at northern regions of Israel.
According to the Israeli military, the rocket launches from Lebanese territory triggered air raid sirens in several areas in northern Israel.
The IDF command reported that air defense forces intercepted one enemy rocket. The remaining rockets fell on unpopulated open areas without causing damage to civilian infrastructure.
Lebanon's Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack.
“This is revenge for the blood of the supreme leader of Muslims, Ali Khamenei,” the group said.
Hezbollah claims that during the attack, they targeted a missile defense facility south of Haifa.
Representatives of the group have publicly expressed their full solidarity with Iran.
