Netherlands donated everything it could to Ukraine

"We have already donated everything we could. Now – particularly during our talks with President Zelenskyy and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha – we are trying to understand how we can jointly encourage other countries to do more," said Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen.

He added that the Netherlands has both the ability and the desire to continue its support, Radio Liberty reports.

"Everything we invest in Ukraine is an investment in our security, particularly through the knowledge, experience, and innovation currently developing in the Ukrainian defense industry. But we need to more actively pressure other countries to join in and contribute. And we are doing this together with Ukraine," Berendsen said.

He did not name the countries expected to play a more active role in helping Ukraine protect its skies. But he emphasized who is at the forefront of this process and reiterated the need for shared contributions.

"Everyone knows that the Nordic countries, Germany, Poland, and others have been doing a lot for years, and the Netherlands is among them. We need other countries to join in. Of course, we're reaching out to countries that have stockpiles to donate, but we're also considering options for producing (interceptor missiles) in Europe. We're also counting on our American partners and the PURL aid packages. These systems save lives, so we continue to encourage other countries to invest in PURL," he said.
