Belgium to send air force and navy to Ukraine

De Wever described the meeting of the “coalition of the determined” as productive and decisive.

“Together with a broad coalition of partners, Belgium will do its part in the international effort to keep the peace in Ukraine after the war is over,” he said.

He said Belgium's contribution will focus on providing air and naval forces, as well as training.

“It is important that these efforts are backed by reliable support from the US, as well as US-led monitoring, which will ensure effective deterrence and enable long-term stability,” he said.
