Man goes on shooting spree near Texas store

The attacker stole two cars during his escape, which ended with police using a stun gun to apprehend him on the other side of town, according to the Associated Press.

The suspect is a man in his 30s with a history of mental illness. Law enforcement officials said they are working to determine the motive for the crime.

The suspect fled the scene in a stolen car, crashed it, and then stole another from a car dealership. He was apprehended about 32 kilometers from the scene, in the south of Austin, where he was taken into custody.

According to police, when law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, they found three people with gunshot wounds in the parking lot of a Target store.

An adult and a child died at the scene, and another wounded person died on the way to the hospital.
