Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that Moscow is ready to reach an agreement with Washington on Ukraine.
“We are ready to reach an agreement. There are still specific points, elements of this agreement that need to be finalized, and we are just doing that,” he said.
Commenting on possible peace talks, Lavrov said there are several signs that we are moving in the right direction, according to CBS News.
“The president of the United States believes, and I think he is right, that we are moving in the right direction,” the minister added.
Lavrov called Donald Trump perhaps the only leader on Earth who recognized the need to address the root causes of this situation.
