US State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce has said that the only point that can now be discussed in talks with Russia is a ceasefire.
Washington sees no point in negotiations until the main thing is achieved - cessation of hostilities, Ukrainska Pravda reported.
"This is a meat grinder. And nothing else can be discussed to achieve a result until the shooting and killing stops. All of our leadership, particularly President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio, have made it publicly clear what is at stake. This is a dynamic that will not be resolved militarily," Bruce stated.
The U.S. will closely monitor Russia's behavior.
“At the NATO press conference, Secretary Rubio made it clear that we will know in a few weeks whether Russia is serious,” Bruce reminded.
