US President Donald Trump believes Putin is stalling on a ceasefire, so the Trump administration is planning aggressive sanctions.
“A source familiar with the talks told Fox television that President Trump is frustrated with Putin and believes Russia is slow to negotiate a comprehensive ceasefire,” White House senior White House correspondent and Fox News host Jackie Heinrich reported.
She said the new U.S. presidential administration is considering a “step forward” with sanctions against Russian Federation.
“I've been told that compliance with sanctions is currently low - unofficially rated at about 3 out of 10 - and banning Russia's shadow fleet, which transports illegal oil through the Baltic Sea, would be an easy target for pressure,” she said.
