Trump demands that the Nobel Peace Prize be awarded to him

Trump said that he has helped stop seven international wars, and his 20-point peace plan to resolve the conflict between Israel and Hamas could be the eighth example of his success, according to The Hill.

“If it works, we'll have eight, eight in eight months. That's pretty good. Nobody has ever done that before,” the president said.

Trump expressed skepticism about receiving the prize.

"Will you get the Nobel Prize? Of course not. They'll give it to some guy who hasn't done a damn thing. They'll give it to the guy who wrote a book about Donald Trump's mind and what it took to start wars. The Nobel Prize will go to the writer. No, but let's see what happens, but it will be a great insult to our country. I'll tell you that. I don't want it. I want the country to get it. And it should get it, because this has never happened before," he said.

On October 6-13, we will find out who will be the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. This year, 338 candidates have been nominated for the award - 244 individuals and 94 organizations.

Among the possible contenders for the award, besides Trump, are President Volodymyr Zelensky and Yulia Navalnaya.
