Trump discussed Ukraine with European leaders in strong terms

“The leaders of France, with whom we spoke, and Germany, and the UK, are all very good leaders, very good friends of mine. And we discussed Ukraine in quite strong terms. We'll see what happens. I mean, we are waiting for answers before moving forward,” Trump said.

Washington does not incur direct expenses to support Ukraine, and arms supplies are provided through NATO mechanisms, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

"We don't spend any money in Ukraine. We sell mainly missiles and everything else to NATO. And NATO pays us. And then they distribute it to whomever they want. I think they mainly distribute it to Ukraine," he said.

Trump stressed that despite the lack of direct financial costs, the US is investing significant time and effort into resolving the situation.

“We are spending a lot of time and a lot of effort. Because last month, 27,000 soldiers died. Think about that. 27,000. If you take a football game and take half the stadium, that's 27,000,” he said.
