Iran has stated that a ceasefire in the war with the United States would only make sense if the naval blockade is lifted and Israel’s hostilities cease
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf noted that a complete ceasefire would only make sense under certain conditions.
According to him, the ceasefire must not be violated by a naval blockade or the holding of the global economy hostage.
Ghalibaf added to the list of conditions the cessation of Zionist hostilities on all fronts.
“Opening the Strait of Hormuz is impossible amid a gross violation of the ceasefire. They have not achieved their goals through military aggression and will not achieve them through intimidation. The only way forward is the recognition of the rights of the Iranian people,” he said.
