US President Donald Trump stated that the decision to withdraw additional American troops from Europe will depend on the resolution of the Greenland dispute.

"I haven't made a final decision yet. Much will depend on Greenland and I think you understand that. Perhaps I will. Much also depends on Iran," he said.

Trump expressed disappointment with the actions of his European partners and stated that their current desire to help with Iran is belated, according to Ukrayinska Pravda.

He emphasized that when the US truly needed support, the Europeans chose to stand aside. Now, however, Trump believes the US is perfectly capable of handling matters on its own, and additional allied forces are not needed.

"So they want to help now, but it's a little late, because, essentially, there's not much fighting there anymore. When they had the chance and opportunity to help, they decided not to, but we supposedly forget about that. And now they want to help. They all want to go there and are so eager to help. But we don't really need the help, and we don't really need them," he said.
