“You will see much more, you will see a lot of secondary sanctions,” he said.

Trump's statement came in response to a question about why he imposed additional tariffs only on India, while other countries, in particular China, also buy Russian oil, according to Ukrinform.

Later, when asked directly about the possibility of imposing sanctions against China, Trump said, “It could happen.”

He stressed that the US did this with India, so it could do the same with several other countries.

“One of them could be China,” Trump said.
