Trump wants to reconcile Afghanistan and Pakistan “very quickly”

The two countries are embroiled in a bitter security dispute, with each side claiming to have responded to aggression from the other during clashes earlier this month, the Associated Press reports.

“I heard that Pakistan and Afghanistan have started talks. But I will resolve this issue very quickly,” he said.

He made the comments during the signing of a peace agreement between Thailand and Cambodia, adding that Pakistan's leaders are wonderful people.
