The politician was outraged at this approach.

Undoubtedly, the issue of the law on mobilisation is the most resonant for millions of Ukrainians. According to Yulia Tymoshenko, the version presented by the government is unacceptable.

She said this in a video message on her Facebook page.

"Our people are the highest value"

According to Tymoshenko, this option is unfair, inefficient and unconstitutional. It will inevitably lead to the opposite of the declared intentions.

"I must admit that we expected a completely different plan, which is the only one capable of ensuring Ukraine's victory. You cannot take 25-year-olds and half-blind disabled people to the frontline and not mobilise security forces from the tax service at the same time. You cannot plan to mobilise women and not allow trained and experienced volunteers over 60 years old to go to the front," she said.

Tymoshenko believes that it is impossible to punish with 5 years in prison for failure to pass a medical examination and to reduce the rights for the first failure to appear at the military registration and enlistment office at a time when "blatant" corrupt officials are celebrating million-dollar weddings.

"You cannot operate with the number of potentially mobilised people, plus or minus 50,000, and the law should provide for at least six months of training for all those called up," Tymoshenko said.

Mobilisation in times of war, she says, is inevitable, because there is no other way to win. The boys and girls who have been defending our country for two years should have a rest.

"But mobilisation must be fair. And its rules must be clear. You can't just grab people and drive them into the trenches, as our enemies do. Because we are not like them. Because with this approach, we will definitely lose. At least because they outnumber us three to one. We can defeat terrorists, for whom human life is worthless, only by fighting on the principle that our people are the highest value," the politician said.
