US President Donald Trump has said that his country has enough nuclear weapons to destroy the world 150 times over.
“We have more nuclear weapons than any other country. And I think we should do something about denuclearization,” Trump said.
He discussed the issue with Russian and Chinese leaders Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, CBS News reported.
“We have enough nuclear weapons to blow up the world 150 times. Russia has a lot of nuclear weapons, and China will have a lot,” he said.
Trump does not want the US to be the only country that does not conduct tests.
"Russia has announced that it will conduct tests. North Korea is constantly conducting tests. Other countries are also conducting tests. We are the only country that does not conduct tests, and I do not want us to be the only country that does not conduct tests. I am saying that we will test nuclear weapons, as other countries do. Russia conducts tests, China conducts tests, but they do not talk about it. We are an open society. We are different. We talk about it," he said.
