US demands concessions from Ukraine and Russia

Rubio said that in order to end a war as complex and deadly as the one continuing in Ukraine, a broad exchange of serious and realistic ideas is needed.

In his opinion, to achieve lasting peace, Ukraine and Russia must agree to make the necessary concessions.

“And to achieve lasting peace, both sides must agree to difficult but necessary concessions,” he said.

He said that is why the US is developing and will continue to develop a list of potential ideas for ending this war based on proposals from both sides of the conflict.
