US has not suspended arms deliveries to Ukraine - State Department

Brus was asked whether suspending arms deliveries to Ukraine would make it more difficult to negotiate a peace deal with Russia, as it would ease pressure on Russian Federation in certain ways, European Pravda reported.

Bruce replied that it would not be a factor.

"Because we have not suspended arms deliveries to Ukraine. It's one aspect, one situation, one event that has changed. As you heard from the Department of Defense, there are many other robust options and efforts on the Ukraine weapons situation," she said.

She added that President Donald Trump also reiterated his continued commitment to Patriot missiles.

"I emphasize again that this does not mean an end to our assistance to Ukraine or to the supply of weapons. This is one event in one situation, and we will discuss what happens next. But we should not draw too broad conclusions," Bruce stated.

She added that the Defense Ministry's statement made it clear that they have credible options.

"And we continue to work to assist Ukraine in terms of the options it may have. That's the information from the Department of Defense. And I have no doubt about that. So I think we have to be cautious in assessing the nature of what just happened, given our continued commitment to Ukraine," she said.
