On June 3, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 occurred in the coastal city of Marmaris.
No serious damage has been recorded so far, AP reported.
The Disaster and Emergency Presidency (AFAD) reported that the epicenter of the quake was in the Mediterranean Sea, and the tremors occurred at 02:17 am.
The quake was also felt in neighboring regions, particularly on the Greek island of Rhodes.
The governor of Mugla province said that a 14-year-old child died as a result of a panic attack during the earthquake. Of the 69 citizens injured due to panic or jumping from heights, 16 were treated on the spot. Eight people were treated and discharged. Another 46 people are still being examined and treated in the emergency room.
