Trump announces complete disarmament of Hamas

According to Trump, the historic agreement was reached by the "Peace Council," which he chairs.

"This agreement is a critical step toward finally placing Gaza under the control of a new Palestinian government that will work closely with the Peace Council to help the Palestinian people. At the same time, Israel will receive the security it deserves because Gaza will no longer be used as a base for terrorist attacks," he wrote.

Trump declared the agreement an important step in implementing his 20-point plan to end the war in Gaza.

"The agreement will be implemented in carefully structured phases. Once disarmament is complete, Israeli troops will withdraw, and the international stabilization force will work with the new Palestinian police force to assume responsibility for the security of Gaza for its residents and neighbors. I want to thank the mediators – Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey – for their important efforts, and especially my outstanding team, whose tireless work made this historic breakthrough possible," he said.

Trump stated that under this agreement, Gaza will finally be in the hands of a new Palestinian government that will serve its people.
