Trump threatened Putin with the transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine

“Biden gave them $350 billion. We didn't give them anything. But we gave them respect and some other things, frankly speaking,” he said.

Trump discussed the needs of the Ukrainian army with President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to Trump, the US may send Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine if this war is not resolved, Ukrainian Truth reports.

“Ukraine really needs Patriot missiles. They would like to get Tomahawk missiles,” the US president said.

He described the Tomahawk as an incredible, very powerful weapon and added that he may discuss the issue with Putin before making a final decision.

“I can talk to him. I can say, ‘Listen, if this war is not resolved, I will send them Tomahawks.’ I can say that. Honestly, Russia doesn't need this,” he said.

He stressed that Tomahawks represent a new stage of aggression and that the US needs to know exactly how Ukraine plans to use them before deciding whether to supply them.

When asked about the possibility of applying the experience of peace talks between Israel and Hamas to the Ukrainian context, Trump noted the importance of persistence.

“I think you should never give up. Just never give up,” Trump said.

He called Ukrainians very good fighters and expressed the opinion that Putin would look great if he resolved this issue.

“And if he doesn't, it will end badly for him,” Trump added.
