Ukrainians will fight with bare hands - CIA director

“But as far as the Ukrainian resistance is concerned, the Ukrainian people and army have been underestimated for several years now. I am convinced based on my thinking and observations from an intelligence perspective that they will fight with their bare hands if they have to, unless they have conditions acceptable to a lasting peace,” US CIA Director John Ratcliffe said.

He said US President Donald Trump is committed to ending the war on terms that will lead to a lasting peace. And the CIA has taken measures to support such a goal of Trump, reports Ukrainska Pravda.

He assured that Trump understands the danger that a Russian victory would pose and emphasized that in the case of successful negotiations, neither side would be able to achieve its maximalist goals.

The Russian army has the advantage on the battlefield and is slowly advancing.
