US expects Hungary to abandon Russian oil

The US expects countries such as Hungary, Slovakia, and Turkey to develop and implement a plan to end their dependence on Russian energy sources, Fox News reports.

“You know, Hungary, unlike many of its neighbors, has not developed any plans and has not taken any active measures. Therefore, we will continue to work with them, as well as with their neighbors, such as Croatia and other countries that can help them abandon Russian energy sources,” Whitaker said.

He added that the US is ready to help Hungary get rid of its dependence on Russian oil and gas.
