China asks Putin not to bomb Kyiv

"China's position on the Ukrainian crisis is consistent and clear. We believe that dialogue and negotiations are the only viable means to resolve the conflict," she said.

The diplomat called on all parties to refrain from escalating hostilities and resume the negotiation process, Ukrinform reports.

"We call on the parties involved to work together to quickly end the escalation and create conditions for the resumption of dialogue and negotiations," she noted.

When asked whether China would succumb to Russian blackmail and evacuate its embassy diplomats from Kyiv, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson declined to say either yes or no.
