New oil refinery opens in the US for the first time in 50 years

"Today, I am proud to announce that America First Refining is opening the first new oil refinery in the US in 50 years in Brownsville, Texas. This is a historic $300 billion deal, the largest in US history, a big win for American workers, energy, and the great people of South Texas! We thank our partners from India and their largest private energy company, Reliance, for this huge investment," he said.

According to Trump, thanks to the America First program, streamlined procedures, and tax cuts, billions of dollars in investment have been attracted back to the United States.

The new refinery will provide energy for the U.S. domestic market, strengthen national security, stimulate American energy production, and be one of the cleanest refineries in the world.

“It will provide global exports and bring thousands of much-needed jobs and growth to a region that deserves it,” he said.
